A Few Words

I’m often asked the question, “Do you practice meditation?”

My answer is, “Well, I practice yoga, so yes I do!”

For me, yoga is a whole practice, so here at The Online Yoga Sanctuary you will receive YOGA as I feel it is meant to be delivered in our modern-day, age and lifestyle.

Of course, I would love to see you face-to-face, as that is my preferred way of teaching, but for those that live far away, or can’t make it out to our studio, this is my next best offering!

So, how to get going with these practices?

I suggest you start by trying the different variations offered here to explore how each feels for you. Once you’ve done that, you can tailor your practice to ‘you’.

When choosing your practice for the day, check-in with how you are feeling – your energy levels, your mood, your mind, your body.

Even when we feel a bit lethargic, a more vigorous practice may be the best option, to reset and recharge your energy. While this may be the last thing you feel like doing, I invite you to try it and see how your mood is affected after the practice and throughout the rest of your day.

Play with the different styles while you are full of beans, in a bit of a bad mood, when you are emotional and fragile or when you feel you have just a few beans left in that bag!

The exploration of this in itself is a wonderful practice to get to know ‘you’ – and getting to know yourself is fabulous.

Have fun adventuring into your yoga!
