Welcome to The Online Yoga Sanctuary!
I am so happy to see you here!
I hope these classes will leave you feeling balanced and energised, yet relaxed. My aim is to share these yoga practices with you to hopefully guide you towards an improved sense of health, compassion, happiness and contentment in life.
Enjoy your practice!
A practice of traditional yoga asanas. This practice works with muscles, breath and mind to physically, mentally and energetically build strength, mobility, flexibility and balance.
Yin Yoga is an opportunity to go deep. In this practice of long-held poses the aim is to create space and freedom deeper than muscles. Yin nurtures deep fascia to assist joint health, mobility and strength.
YIN YANG YOGA
Our Yang is an organically flowing practice, designed to increase heart rate and lovingly challenge your muscles. The class finishes with the beauty and power of the slower and meditative practice of Yin Yoga.
A form of meditation, this is an ancient relaxation practice using your whole body while laying down on your back, comfortably and relaxed, to develop deeply focused awareness.
Different meditation traditions around our world provide endless varieties of practices. In our meditation classes we will explore some of the many ways to meditate.
Centered around the notion of physical and emotional balance, Restorative classes are perfect for students looking to alleviate stress and fatigue. Our restorative program includes all necessary equipment.
A Few Words
I’m often asked the question, “Do you practice meditation?”
My answer is, “Well, I practice yoga, so yes I do!”
For me, yoga is a whole practice, so here at The Online Yoga Sanctuary you will receive YOGA as I feel it is meant to be delivered in our modern-day, age and lifestyle.
Of course, I would love to see you face-to-face, as that is my preferred way of teaching, but for those that live far away, or can’t make it out to our studio, this is my next best offering!
So, how to get going with these practices?
I suggest you start by trying the different variations offered here to explore how each feels for you. Once you’ve done that, you can tailor your practice to ‘you’.
When choosing your practice for the day, check-in with how you are feeling – your energy levels, your mood, your mind, your body.
Even when we feel a bit lethargic, a more vigorous practice may be the best option, to reset and recharge your energy. While this may be the last thing you feel like doing, I invite you to try it and see how your mood is affected after the practice and throughout the rest of your day.
Play with the different styles while you are full of beans, in a bit of a bad mood, when you are emotional and fragile or when you feel you have just a few beans left in that bag!
The exploration of this in itself is a wonderful practice to get to know ‘you’ – and getting to know yourself is fabulous.
Have fun adventuring into your yoga!
The Online Yoga Sanctuary will have a constant stream of new classes being uploaded. Classes by Mysan but also from a few amazing guest teachers. These guest teachers are all educated by Mysan and their bios can be found here
